Ormai è risaputo che tutti hanno un blog. 

è diventata la moda del momento,soprattutto grazie alle varie blogger che si sono fatte strada sin dall'inizio con tenacia e tanta consapevolezza. Lavorando ogni tanto come modella e fotomodella potrei anche io mettere qui su qualche bella foto,ma dopo un po' diventerebbe tutto molto noioso..proprio perchè nella quotidianità mi vesto in modo assolutamente sobrio e semplice e non di certo in modo stravagante o completamente alla moda. 

Quindi ho deciso di dedicarmi a tutte quelle che sono le mie passioni..la lettura,la storia dell'arte,l'amore per le epoche passate e la musica (rigorosamente celtica con particolari favoritismi per melodie e colonne sonore). 

Tutto ciò che occorre sapere di me,oltre naturalmente a queste quattro,è che mi chiamo Iolanda ho quasi 21 anni e vivo in un paese della provincia di Napoli. 

Voglio iniziare dunque proprio dal mio nome..

da bambina non mi piaceva particolarmente,vedevo tutte le mie amiche con nomi molto più moderni,mentre il mio sapeva di antico..crescendo poi,mi sono resa conto che tutto ciò che è antico mi affascina incondizionatamente..e così anche il mio nome. 

Ha due radici..la prima greca che vuole la sua derivazione dalla parola "hìon" che significa letteralmente "colore della viola" e la seconda, non che mia preferita,dalla lingua germanica che riconduce il suo significato all'immagine di un amazzone..cioè "donna guerriera". 

Cosa più importante e a cui io tengo molto è che questo è un nome antichissimo usato fin dai tempi più antichi già nella mitologia greca per poi sfiorare tutte l'epoche passate sui volti di molte principesse;Mia intenzione in questo post è quella di tracciare un piccolo percorso con le personalità più importanti che hanno "indossato" questo nome.

So I start from my own name ..
I particularly liked as a child, I saw all my friends with much more modern names,while I knew of growing old .. then I realized that everything old is fascinated meunconditionally .. and so is my name .
Has two roots .. the first Greek that wants its derivation from the word "hìon" which literally means "Color Purple" and the second, not that my favorite, from theGermanic language that brings its meaning to the image of a rider. . that "woman warrior."
More important and which I hold is that this is a very ancient name used sinceancient times already in Greek mythology and then touching all the past ages on the faces of many princesses; My intention in this post is to draw a small path withthe most important people that have "worn" this name. 

Ovviamente la prima è appunto la Iole della quale si innamorò Eracle,questa è una rappresentazione del pittore Annibale Carracci che per l'appunto raffigura Eracle che deve scegliere tra la virtù (Deianira sulla sinistra) e il piacere (Iole sulla destra) ovviamente,come si sa dal mito,sceglierà la seconda.
